* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations up to 6 inches.
Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...The mountains of Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara
Counties.

* WHEN...Until 5 AM PDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes.
Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A second, and much weaker system will move
into the mountains today into tonight generating much lighter
accumulations.

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 6 to 9 feet in Ventura County and 10
to 13 along the Central Coast feet with dangerous rip currents.

* WHERE...San Luis Obispo County Beaches, Santa Barbara County
Central Coast Beaches and Ventura County Beaches.

* WHEN...Until 3 AM PDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip
currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large
breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and
rocks, and capsize small boats near shore.

Information:
Remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions, or stay
near occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadly in
such conditions, stay off the rocks.
